The Committee on Examinations seeks to abrogate and replace Arizona Supreme Court Rule 35, with amendments to Rules 34 and 37 as needed, to facilitate the transition to the NextGen Bar Exam. The proposed Rule 35 has been restyled and reorganized to consolidate all bar exam rules, regulations, requirements, and procedures into one rule with clarity, conciseness, and plain language. It is drafted with dynamic language to accommodate any bar exam and is structured chronologically, progressing from exam application through petition for review. Additionally, it refines permission to write and incorporates an exam code of conduct and related procedures.

    Filed: January 10, 2025

Would abrogate and replace Rule 35 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Arizona governing bar examinations and amend Rules 34 and 37 of the same rules to facilitate the transition to the new bar examination rule.

Comments must be submitted by no later than Thursday, May 1, 2025, and any reply by a petitioner must be submitted no later than Monday, June 2, 2025.
