    The petition proposes amendments to ER 1.16 (“declining or terminating representation”) and ER 3.3 (“candor toward the tribunal”), Comment 8, to ensure sufficient guidelines exist to help lawyers avoid improper presentation of digitally forged evidence to the court.

    Would amend ER 1.16 and 3.3 (Rule 42 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Arizona) to provide guidelines to help lawyers avoid improper presentation of digitally forged evidence to a court.

    Comments must be submitted by no later than Thursday, May 1, 2025, and any reply by a petitioner must be submitted no later than Monday, June 2, 2025.
