Pursuant to Rule 28.1 of the Rules of the Supreme Court, Petitioners request approval to amend the Local Rules of Superior Court in Pima County.
Our Court recently undertook a thorough review of all the local rules and has made updates to ensure compliance with the rules of court, align the local rules with existing post-pandemic practices, and adopt changes to improve the processing of cases. Our Court’s last local rule modification was in 2019, and its last in-depth review and revision was in 2017.
A clean copy of the proposed local rules is included in Attachment A, and a redline version is included in Attachment B.
We posted the proposed rules on our Court’s website for comment, and accepted comments between September 22, 2025 and October 22, 2025. We received one comment which is included in Attachment C.
At a regularly scheduled November 3, 2025 bench meeting, our Court unanimously approved the local rules as they had been posted with the suggested change.
Accordingly, Petitioners respectfully request that the Court approve the amendments to our Local Rules as set forth in Attachment A.
